Team members each get their own login and can work the waitlist from any device. Invites go out by email and the link is good for 7 days.

Send an invite

  1. In the admin sidebar, click Settings, then Team.
  2. In the Email field, type the person's work email address.
  3. Choose Admin or Member in the Role dropdown.
  4. Click Send invite. They'll get an email with a link to sign up.

Pending invites appear under Pending Invites with a Revoke button. Revoke an invite if you sent it to the wrong address or changed your mind.

The three roles

MakeTheQueue has three roles:

  • Owner: the person who created the organization. There is one owner and the owner can't be removed from the Team page.
  • Admin: can invite and remove team members, and manage settings.
  • Member: can work the waitlist, appointments, customers, and history. Cannot invite others or remove team members.

Only owners and admins can send invites or remove members.

What your team sees when they accept

  1. They click the link in the invite email.
  2. They create a Clerk account with the invited email address (or sign in if they already have one).
  3. They land in your admin and can immediately start working the queue.

Removing access

If someone leaves, go to Settings → Team, find them in the Members list, and click the delete icon. They lose access the next time they try to load the admin.

Common problems

  • Invite email didn't arrive. Ask them to check spam. If it's still missing after a few minutes, revoke the invite and resend it. Double-check the address.
  • Link says "expired". Invites are valid for 7 days. Send a fresh invite from the Team page.
  • "Can't remove the owner." That's by design. To hand off ownership, contact support.
  • Wrong role. Remove the member and re-invite with the correct role. Role can't be edited in place.
  • Missing the Invite form. Only owners and admins see it. Members can't invite others.
