The Profile page is where you manage the core details of your business account. Each MakeTheQueue login belongs to one organization, so what you edit here applies to everyone on your team.
Where to find it
- In the admin sidebar, click Settings.
- Click Profile.
What you can edit
- Business Name (required). This appears on customer notifications and self check-in screens.
- Industry. Pick from Restaurant, Healthcare, Salon/Barbershop, Government, Education, Retail, Automotive, or Other. We use this to tune a few defaults.
- Email. This is read-only and comes from your Clerk sign-in account. To change it, update your login email from your account provider.
- Timezone. Sets the default timezone for reports, notifications, and appointment scheduling. Individual locations can override this.
Click Save when you are done. Changes apply immediately across the admin app, self check-in, and the widget.
Common problems
- I cannot edit my email. Email is linked to your Clerk login. Update it in your account provider, then refresh the page.
- I do not see an organization switcher. That is expected. Each login belongs to one organization, so there is nothing to switch between.
- My business name is not updating on SMS. Make sure you saved the change, then send a test notification from the Waitlist.
- The industry I want is not listed. Pick Other. It does not change billing or limits.
